Was Hayashiella tuvalica zone in Rigo et al. (2018), BUT Orchard Nov’19 email to J.Ogg: "I assign Hayashiella tuvalica to Quadralella. The genus Hayashiella is both precoccupied by a beetle, and a junior synonym (Orchard, 2019).]  "At the base of the Tuvalian substage (Upper Carnian) only few conodont taxa survive the extinction caused by the CPE, and a new radiation arose from P. polygnathiformis" (Rigo et al., 2018).  New Tethyan zone of Hay. tuvalica includes association with P. noah, H. carpathica and C. zoae -- all used for zone names in some other zonations. New Canada zone of Metapolygnathus (now Quadrella) polygnathiformis (maybe same as Meta. poly. noah?)  by Orchard (May 2007 relayed to Nicoll).  Beginning (but with an LAD) is considered to be coeval with ammonoid-defined base of Tuvalian substage (base T. dilleri); and age/marker from SEPM matches definition of underlying zone.  FAD of G.tethydis defined base of Kozur’s P.noah zone => Gap zone, with M.p. noah appearing in mid-Tadpole zone.
