base notes	Put as 20% up in G. bollandense Conodont zone; based on Aretz 10July2019 email that 'Protvian (Russian platform; Serpukhovian) is characterised by the protvae foraminifera zone. Davydov'12 puts base of E. protvae zone at about 50% up in G.bollandendsis Conodont zone. FADs of Brenckleina rugosa - Eosigmoilina robertsoni are base of Menard Lms; which is base of Lane's Conodont Zone 11. Relative placement on ExxonMobil '01 chart had been = 60% above base of Pseudoendothyra globosa - Neoarchaediscus parvus zone. Appearance of Brenckleina and Eosigmolina genera could be alternate marker for base-Serpukhovian (was used this way in 2005 guide book to Ohio-Illinois Mississippian); but Paul Brenckle favors correlation to Protvian substage (middle of Serpukhovian of Russian system).				comp notes
