[This would project as about 2myr higher than the GTS2004 figure placement.] Zone "Dbi" of Oligocene/Miocene Dinocyst zonation in NW and Central Italy by Brinkhuis et al. (1992): Interval from the FAD of Distatodinium biffii to the FAD of Ectosphaeropsis burdigalensis. Planktonic foram biozones: top P21 through basal N4; nannoplankton biozones: upper part of NP25 (=CP19b) through basal NN1 (=CN1A); magnetic polarity chronozones: C9n through C6Cr3. 60% up in NP24 on GTS04 diagram. Pre-2012 TSC version of GTS04 = Base of Chattian (FAD projected as approx. C10n.1n.1 in GTS2004 chart) -- base-Chattian definition might change with GSSP. This agrees with placement of FAD on SEPM chart, coincident with base-Chattian (placed at base of Foram Zone P21b = LAD Ch. Cubensis)				comp notes
