base notes	At Guandao, South China (candidate for base-Anisian GSSP), the FADs of both N. germanica and N. kockelli are synchronous according to Lehrmann et al (2015; suppl. tabl.). Based on Lehrmann et al. (2006, 2015), the FAD of N. germanica and N. kockeli is the base of MT3n (used here). NOTE: This implies that there are no signficant conodont events currently recognized in the lower Bithynian stage "as defined by ammonoids versus magnetostrat (A. varium in Spitzbergen; Hounslow-Muttoni, 2010). Kozur’03 had Paragondolella bulgarica with two subzones, of which Nicoraella kockeli s.z. was base of Bithynian (but he has a different ammonite zonal scheme). He also suggests a N. shoshoenensis horizon in middle, and extending upward into lower half of his Para. bulgarica Zone.				comp notes
