base notes	DASHED -- Weems and Kozur (2015) suggested that their 'Shipingia mcdonaldi' zone, with base at base of Alaunian (hence base of C. bicrenatus ammonite zone), is common to both the Newark and the Southwest USA. Kozur and Weems (2010) had a [Shipingia mcdonaldi - Norestheria barnaschi] zone with base at about 40% up in C. bicrenatus. Or, ca. 25% up in Alaunian. FAD of Norestheria barnaschi Kozur & Weems n. sp. and Shipingia mcdonaldi Kozur & Weems n. sp. Correlates with Shipingia mcdonaldi zone of Newark succession. Weems and Kozur (2015) decided this was a local situation, and proposed a more general Shipingia mcdonald; but Geyer-Kelber (2018) retained Kozur-Weems's name, but with age dashed as base of Alaunian.				comp notes
