base notes	SEE NOTE ON CONFLICT with GERMAN Ar-Ar dated version !. Zone is also called ""Nolaniceras nolani"". PROBLEM: (1) Ammonite A. nolanii BASE is DASHED at about FN1 = Fal. Nolan Lms marker #1 in Vocontian composite [Luber et al., 2019, Cret.Res. Suppl.X10] (=trough in C13 in Herrle et al’s 2014 composite, just above base Piobbico Cycle 40). Genus was only abbreviated as H. in Herrle, N. in Luber’s comparison table, and A. on their Vocontian diagram. BUT: (2) Base of Nolani (hence, top of P. nutfieldiensis zone) is constrained in Germany by 114.86 +/-0.37 Ar/Ar (SInger et al., GSA Nov’15 presentation) which verifies and enhances Obradovich’s 114 +/-1.3 Ma; therefore Base of this zone set as 114.8 Ma. This was similar to GTS04 = set at 115 Ma to fit the constraint of an Ar-Ar age of 114 +/-1.3 Ma within that underlying zone. This also fits its calibration to foraminifer datums (Belliers et al., 2000) on chart of Leckie et al. (2002; after scaling to 125 Ma at base-Aptian). BUT, in GTS2008 - was DASHED as 1/4th up in T. bejaouensis Foram zone (on composite meters) based on Herrle et al. (2004) in SE France composite, which had thought to be a bit more reliable than the +/-1.3 Ma in GTS2004; but is now (Singer et al., 2015) determined much more precise. [HOWEVER, DOES NOT FIT ESTIMATED RELATIVE THICKNESSES IN VOCONTIAN IN HERRLE ET AL 2004; but those were ""dashed""]. My guess is that German zone boundary is not same as SE France zone boundary usage.				comp notes
