Defined by the biostratigraphic range of: Alveolina corbirica, A. recondita, A. brassica, Nummulites exilis, N. atacicus, N. globulus nanus, N. globulus latior, Assilina leymeriei and Ass. canalifera. The. lower boundary is located at the lower part of Chron 24:3r [Molina et al., 1992; Serra-Kiel et aI., 1994]. The lower part of the biozone rides the P6a-P6b boundary of Berggren et al. [1995] [= P6b-Pc of Berggren and Miller, 1988] according to Molina et al [1992] and Serra-Kiel et al. [1994]. SBZZ8 corresponds to the upper part of NP10 and to NP11 [KapeIlos and Schaub 1973; Schaub, 1981].				comp notes
