Defined by the biostratigraphic range of: Alveolina trempina, A. citrea, A. polatliensis, Nummulites involutus, Assilina adrianensis and Ass. pomeroli. The lower boundary is located at Chron 24.2r [Molina et al., 1992; Serra-Kiel et al., 1994]. SBZZ9 corresponds to the upper part of NP 11 and the lower part of NP12 [Kapellos and Schaub, 1973;Schaub, 1981; Molina et al., 1992; Serra-Kiel et al., 1994], and to P6b of Berggren et al. [1995] [= P6c of Berggren and Miller, 1988] according to Molina et al. [1992] and Serra-Kiel et al. [1994].				comp notes
