Base (dashed) on SEPM chart is 52.51 Ma with no obvious Foram-zone ties, therefore assigned as middle of Chron C24n.1n. From Working Group on Larger Foraminifera website: "SBZZ 10 (early Cuisian). Defined by the biostratigraphic range of: Alveolina schwageri, A. indicatrix, A. canavarii, A. haymanensis, A. cosinensis cosinensis, A. minuta, Nummulites planulatus, N. aquitanicus, N. burdigalensis burdigalensis, N. subramondi thalmanni, N. rotularius, N. pavloveci, N. subdistans, Assilina plana, Ass. placentula, Ass. aspensis, Ass. karreri, Ass. escheri and Discocyclina archiaci archiaci. The lower boundary is located at the lower part of Chron 24.1r, near the top of Chron 24.1 n, according to the integration of data from Bentham and Burbank [1996] and Tosquella et al. [1990]. SBZZI0 corresponds to NP12 [Kapellos and Schaub, 1973; Schaub, 1981; Serra-Kiel et al., 1994], and to P6b of Berggren et al. [1995] [= P6c of Berggren and Miller, 1988], and P7 [Molina et aI., 1992; Serra-Kiel et aI., 1994].				comp notes
