Defined by the biostratigraphic range of : Alveolina stipes, A. callosa, A. cayrasi, A. hottingeri, Nummulites laevigatus, N. obesus, N. verneuili, N. uranensis, N. lehneri, N. messinae, Assilina parva, Ass. tenuimarginata, Ass. praespira and Ass. spira abrardi. The lower boundary of this biozone coincides with the Lower Eocene-Middle Eocene boundary, located at the base of Chron 22n [Berggren et al., 1995] and corresponding to the P9-PIO boundary according to Berggren et al. [1995]. SBZZ13 starts in NP14 and ends in NP15 [Kapellos and Schaub, 1973].				comp notes
